Bottom Line
Set among olive and fruit trees in a quiet field, this bed and breakfast consists of four simple but clean, well-stocked apartments slightly set apart from one another, furnished with the basics. A few rooms are available for rent within the compound’s main house. Wine made by owner is available for sample and sale, and a much-lauded homemade breakfast is offered each morning at a very reasonable price. The main advantage of this location is its convenience vis-à-vis the Saturnia waterfalls (within walking distance), as well as its proximity to several towns of historical and cultural interest, including Pitigliano, Sorano and Sovana. The owner organizes full and half-day mountain biking excursions for guests for an extra fee.

Four simple but lovely, fully equipped standalone apartments in Tuscan farmhouse style that are popular with families
Agriturismo Le Cascatelle is especially popular with families and small groups seeking to enjoy the pastoral appeal and thermal offerings of Saturnia. The owner and his business partner offer a small array of spa services on site, and maintain a small, attractive dining room in the main house where breakfast is served and wine made by the proprietor is on offer. The buildings, which are new and well-maintained, feature stone patios that look out onto the rolling hills and handsome brick archways. The apartments are not fancy, but they are clean and peaceful and a great alternative to the pricier hotels in the area.
