The Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek feels like a Tuscan villa -- the hotel is pink stucco, the roof is terra cotta, and beautiful fountains, tile mosaics, and trellis plants surround the pool. The property is lavish, with a grand lobby and large, upscale rooms with patios -- but it's a bit farther from the restaurants and galleries in Uptown Dallas than the Rosewood Crescent.

The Rosewood Mansion is a bit removed from Uptown Dallas' restaurants and galleries, and little is within walking distance. It's a short drive to the great shopping and lively nightlife in gay-friendly West Village, and to the galleries and shopping on McKinney Avenue.
Uptown Dallas is a hot spot of shops, restaurants, and nightlife. Creating the border on the south side, Victory Park is home to the American Airlines Center, a huge sports and entertainment complex where the Dallas Mavericks and the Dallas Stars play. To the north, McKinney Avenue is lined with art galleries, and Knox-Henderson is packed with upscale restaurants. West Village offers amazing shopping and has some of the best nightlife in Dallas. Nearby Turtle Creek is known as the artsy, gay-friendly area where the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Kalita Humphreys Theater sits.
