Open-air, easy and casual
After driving through the large, branded arches, guests come upon the resort entrance which is located right next to the road. Spacious and warm, and decorated in shades of terracotta and cream, the open-air lobby has plenty of armchairs and sofas to relax in and a big front desk with a concierge. A hallway on the other end leads to the rest of the resort, with the resort shop, Snapshots photography, and several restaurants and bars nearby. Windows also give guests great views of the resort, beach, and several pools. Everything is bright, open, and welcoming.
On a large, quiet strip of Seven Mile Beach
With large signs right on the busy Norman Manley Boulevard, Sandals Negril is easy to spot, and is a bit removed from the main strip of hotels and cottages along the beach. While the property is tucked away from the road and is built right along the water, it’s still a short drive away from popular attractions like Rick’s Cafe and the cliffs, as well as a wide variety of downtown restaurants, bars, clubs, shops, and craft fairs. The main highway can be dangerous for pedestrians, but the beach is safe to walk on to access vendors and local musicians by the other hotels, and the concierge and tour desks can provide guests with transportation to nearby attractions. The airport is several hours away.
Many types of rooms, all along the beach
With everything from standards to suites to swim-up rooms with butlers included, guests have a wide variety of rooms to choose from. Because the property stretches along the beach, every room is a short walk to the water, and all rooms include air-conditioning, coffeemakers, luxury bath amenities, and mini-fridges stocked with water, juice, and soda, and are decorated with dark wood furnishings and soothing neutrals, with a few bright pops of color. Standard rooms are fairly simple, so guests wanting more space should choose Club Level rooms that include free Wi-Fi, concierge services for reservations, free room service, a private lounge, and in-room bars. For guests who want a truly luxurious experience, generously sized butler suites are also available, providing guests with a private butler that can assist with almost anything they may require. These rooms include whirlpool tubs, large balconies, and beautiful views, and some have multiple floors, private gardens, and private pools.
Dozens of activities and amenities
The resort itself is quite large, with seven restaurants, five bars, three pools, three whirlpools, and a large entertainment area. Spread along the beach, amenities and activities can be found among the accommodations, giving most rooms quick access to dining or drinking options. A wide variety of water and land sports are available, including snorkeling, sailing, waterskiing, paddleboarding, beach volleyball, tennis, croquet, and billiards. Scuba lessons are offered, and divers that are already certified can dive for free. The Red Lane Spa features a modern fitness center and a large assortment of treatments, and guests can also have their massages on the beach. A stage and entertainment area host a variety of events, including talent shows, live music, cocktail parties, and theme nights, as well as a popular Chocolate Evening. The wedding lounge attendants can help guests plan their special day or anniversary events, and there are several gazebos and ceremony sites sprinkled throughout the property. Additionally, the resort also offers laundry and dry cleaning services, photographers, gift shops, money exchanges, and rentable beach cabanas.
For travelers seeking a large all-inclusive with plenty of activities and amenities, and a laid-back, easygoing vibe, Sandals Negril Beach Resort & Spa is a great choice. Located along the largest private stretch of Negril’s beautiful Seven Mile Beach, the resort is spacious and luxurious, with open-air dining, a variety of water and land sports, and enough entertainment and relaxation options to keep guests happy and relaxed. The resort is a bit removed from the larger strip of hotels and cottages along the highway, but is still close enough to popular local attractions and shops to give guests looking to explore the area easy access to the downtown area. It is also a ways from the airport, and there's no free shuttle.
