This 635-suite Pueblo Bonito is an all-inclusive optional megaresort with direct access to a gorgeous beach. The family-friendly alternative to its adults-only sister resort -- the nearby Pacifica -- Sunset Beach has tons of kid-friendly amenities: a kids' club, six gorgeous pools, a playground, tennis courts, a beach volleyball court, and novelties such as flamingos roaming the property. But couples can have just as much fun here; one of the three restaurants is adults-only, and the spa features numerous treatment rooms, as well as a Jacuzzi set in a beautiful, stone-walled room. The suites at the hotel are average, featuring simple Mexican-inspired decor (picture pops of red and blues in the comforters and living room furniture) as well as fully equipped kitchenettes. Surprisingly for a hotel of this category, rooms only have tube TVs. Most guests choose to go with the all-inclusive option; those that don't have to deal with pesky fees for simple amenities such as Wi-Fi and access to the fitness center.

At the southern tip of Mexico's Baja Peninsula, Cabo San Lucas -- a beach town on the stretch of coastline collectively known as Los Cabos (The Capes) -- has long been a popular vacation spot for sun-worshipping party seekers. (Hence, the nickname Cabo San Loco.) This Pueblo Bonitio sits on a gorgeous beach, just a short drive from the marina and downtown Cabo.
Downtown Cabo San Lucas is filled with dining, shopping, and nightlife options. Being on the marina also makes catching ferries to nearby attractions like Playa del Amor and Land's End convenient. Despite the bustling activity, the area is safe and patrolled by police.
