So pack your bags — and your finery — you're going to have to visit these luxe suites the next time you're in Madrid. First up is the Suite Loft at the Hotel Urban. A luxurious hotel with a long list of features, the Hotel Urban has a rooftop pool, fitness center, two swanky restaurants, and even a museum of ancient antiques all on-site. The bi-level Suite Loft is a testament to the hotel's high design and masculine interiors. The bathrooms in the Suite Loft are particularly impressive, featuring deep soaking tubs with separate showers and streamlined modern design. The 110-room NH Prisma Suites is one of the more updated properties in the NH chain, featuring especially large suites with separate seating areas, flat-screen TVs, and bright bathrooms. But the greatest suite feature might be this expansive terrace, overlooking the charming neighborhood of Chamberi. A recent renovation to the NH Prisma Suites brought in modern touches such as contemporary furniture, stereo systems, and attractive wood floors. The soft greens and white décor is lovely, particularly the wall-papered accent wall. Hotel Silken Puerta America is known for its over-the-top design, from the colorful facade of the hotel to the rooms. Each of the 12 floors was executed by a different designer, and range from futuristic, space-like decor, such as this Junior Suite, to sexy style with levitating beds and bold colors. The bathrooms in the Junior Suite are separated from the main room with a sliding door, imbuing a bit of sexiness into the space. The soaking tub is to die for, as is the large separate shower. The Hotel Wellington is a classically beautiful, historic hotel in Salamanca, just a short walk from the famous Retiro Park. The grand lobby has a stately vibe, with crystal chandeliers, velvet furniture, and high ceilings, and the look continues throughout the hotel -- though it's a bit more subdued in the 255 rooms. The hotel's rich history is impressive; after all, it has hosted the likes of Gene Kelly and Ernest Hemingway. Today, the rooms have small flat-screen TVs, iPod docks, and free Wi-Fi. This 37-room boutique is part of a stylish yet affordable chain that offers a youthful, playful design at a good price. All rooms, such as this Junior Suite, have pops of bright blue, yellow, or red, along with modern furniture, sleek track lighting, and Roy Lichtenstein prints. Bathrooms are also modern, though the showers and tubs lack privacy and are quite revealing (some showers are in the room while some tubs have direct street views). The Duplex Room at Room Mate Alicia is a hip upgrade, with a spacious living room, big outdoor balcony, and mini pool, seen here. Though the 85-room NH Palacio De Tepa is housed in an 18-century building, it has a hip, modern vibe throughout. It is arguably the chicest hotel in the NH brand, with gorgeous rooms, all of which are large and feature up-to-date amenities such as flat-screen TVs, iPod docks, and free Wi-Fi. The design, as seen in this bi-level Junior Suite, is modern with simple lines, beige furniture, pops of color, and hardwood floors. A shower-tub combo this may be, but it doesn't detract from the serene quality of the bathroom at NH Palacio De Tepa. The fresh flowers are a particularly nice touch. The Room Mate chain uses funky, bright design throughout their hotels, and the 75-room Oscar is obviously no different. Rooms are quirky with curving furniture, tons of space, flat-screen TVs, and modern bathrooms. Bright colors and a focus on unique touches makes for a nice break from generic chains. The Mini Suite at the Room Mate Oscar also features a lovely terrace overlooking the Chueca neighborhood. The furniture might be made more for function than comfort, but you'll still have that view. The Presidential Penthouse at the Gran Melia Fenix defines luxury in Madrid. The historic hotel has attracted personalities such as The Beatles, Bill Clinton, Queen Noor of Jordan, and Cary Grant since the 1950s — and with good reason. It's one of the top hotels in Madrid, featuring a grand lobby with an impressive stained-glass dome and chandeliers; tasteful, classic decor throughout; and upscale services such as butlers for every category. Elegant rooms have upholstered walls, Bang & Olufsen flat-screen TVs, well-stocked minibars, and pillow menus. An executive level offers wonderful extras such as a private rooftop terrace and daily hors d’oeuvres, but why share with anyone else? The Presidential Penthouse has a private rooftop terrace with its own seating area, fitness section, and Jacuzzi. Speaking of private terraces, the Presidential Suite at the Hesperia Madrid has a beautiful one, with its own Jacuzzi, loungers, and two seating areas. Located in the trendy Rios Rosas neighborhood, this upscale property also offers spacious and comfortable interiors with fun design accents such as leopard print armchairs. Room amenities at the Hesperia Madrid include flat-screen TVs, minibars, big marble bathrooms, and quality mattresses — such as this uber comfortable one in the Presidential Suite. One of the top hotels in Madrid, the Westin Palace is housed in a gorgeous historic building that was commissioned by the king in 1912. Elegant, classic decor is found throughout the hotel. All rooms are attractive and feature antique furniture, a largely white color scheme, and spacious marble bathrooms with separate showers and soaking tubs, but the Royal Suite is créme de la créme. Featuring dark woods, gold accents, and marble counter tops, no expense is spared in this gorgeous bathroom at the Westin Palace, Madrid.
