In Downtown Montreal, blocks from many major attractions
Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth is across the street from the Marie-Reine-du-Monde Cathedral, and a block from a large shopping mall. There are three subway stations within four blocks of the hotel, plus it is connected by underground passages to Montreal Central Station, the city's main train station, and the Underground City.
Downtown Montreal, a popular destination for business travelers and tourists alike, is the lifeblood of the city. With both the Saint Lawrence River and Monteregian Hills as backdrops, this area of Montreal offers stunning views, not to mention a fast-paced nightlife, some of the city's best museums, and tall skyscrapers. It's also the home to McGill University, founded in 1821 and referred to as "the Harvard of Canada."
This massive, 1,073-room upscale chain hotel is located in Downtown Montreal, and connected to Montreal Central Station and the Underground City. It has a fairly nice fitness center, a three-lane lap pool, and three restaurants (including The Beaver Club, a famous, fancy dining destination). Spacious rooms have sitting areas, a well as PlayStations and flat-screen TVs, but they're a bit bland and starting to show wear, and many bathrooms are cramped.
