Rooms are modern and hip with big flat-screen TVs and nicely stocked minibars, but rooms facing the Morenos restaurant/bar may get noisy at night.
Scene
A historic and glamorous boutique
The lobby of the Riviera Suites is modern and bright with windows facing the street. Free cocktails in the evening pull guests away from the two swimming pools and on-site Cuban restaurant, Morenos. Indoor and outdoor clusters of seating make the space feel expansive while art gallery coffee table books and paintings by Miami artists add a local touch.
Location
In the party scene of chic Miami Beach
The Riviera Suites is located just behind the Art Deco epicenter of Collins Avenue and two blocks from the beach. The posh shops and restaurants of Ocean Drive and the buzzing scene of Lincoln Road are all within easy walking distance, while Miami's hourly bike rental program offers fast access up and down South Beach for even more nightlife options. The Miami International Airport is about 25-minutes away by car.
Rooms
Unique and clean with attention to style
Classic rooms are decorated in all white with pops of color while the luxurious one-bedroom suite has bold blue walls, wood paneling, and cowhide rugs. Flat-screen TVs, mini-bars stocked with booze and snacks, and C.O. Bigelow Apothecaries bath products are found in every room. Balcony rooms face the street and coffee addicts will have to book a luxury suite for a Keurig. The rooms and hallways in building one are a bit dark.
Features
Two swimming pools, free cocktails, and a Cuban restaurant
The Riviera Suites has a rooftop swimming pool and a smaller pool next to Morenos Cuban Cafe for lounging and free happy hour every evening. Free transportation to the airport and back is a nice perk, though some guests have complained about long wait times.
