Being an eco-friendly property, the decor at La Residenza is minimal compared to the borderline gaudy style of other hotels nearby. Although low on space and grandeur, La Residenza understands what kind of clientele would enjoy their type of hospitality and maximizes its efforts to make guests feel welcome. Still, the lobby is quite drab and reminiscent of a hostel, with distasteful signage and not much of an area to relax and enjoy the hotel itself. Some of the chairs are made out of cardboard -- an interesting touch. This venue isn’t geared toward business travelers or even families, but instead is better suited for young people who are in Milan and want a relaxed atmosphere to call home for a few days.
