Oyster Hotel Review
Elaborate, stylish décor in a 19th-century building make for an elegant stay.
Housed in a 19th-century Haussmann building, the Keppler was designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon, who presided over the redesign of the posh Hotel George V in Paris and the Peninsula in Shanghai. The lobby embraces animal-themed details, such as iron dog statues, cheetah-patterned pillows, and stools topped with a zebra-print design, and includes several sitting areas for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. This stylish vibe continues throughout the public spaces and rooms, making for an upscale, elegant feel. With a quiet, sophisticated vibe, this boutique hotel largely attracts couples.
On a quiet street near Champs Élysées
The Hotel Keppler is located on a quiet street in a line of Haussmann buildings. The hotel is less than a 10-minute walk from the restaurants, shops, and cafes of the Champs-Élysées, and the George V Metro Station is a five-minute walk away. The hotel provides airport transportation for a fee, or guests can drive the 30 minutes.
Standard rooms are small, but some suites have terraces and Eiffel Tower views.
Room decor varies -- some rooms have little decoration while others have stylishly patterned wallpaper, curtains, and pillows. All rooms, however, have iPod docks, free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and minibars. Umbrellas, bathrobes, and slippers can also be found in all rooms, and suites come with Hermès products. While standard rooms are small, many suites have terraces with views of the Eiffel Tower.
