The decor of the 159-room Crystal Lodge & Suites, located in the heart of Whistler Village, is typical for the area, with cedar and stone accents and warm colors. Upper-middle-range rooms are clean and bright (some have fireplaces, most have balconies) with clean, but unexceptional, bathrooms. Suites have large, fully stocked kitchenettes with dishwashers. There's a huge discrepancy in size between suites and standard rooms, however: While Traditional Rooms aren't the smallest we've seen, they're considerably more cramped.

The Crystal Lodge and Suites is located in the heart of Whistler Village's activity. The main pedestrian strip of shops is at the property's doorstep, giving guests easy access to great dining, shopping and attractions, such as golfing and Whistler's famous gondola.
Development in the late 1900s built this tiny logging town -- once known as "Alta Lake" -- into a full-scale ski resort area. Whistler hosted the 2010 Winter Olympics, is considered the top skiing destination on the continent.
