Florida Hotels with Water Parks

Florida has great water parks across the state, particularly in the theme-park mecca of Orlando. But there are a number hotels that have water parks of their own, saving families the stress of loading the kids up in the car, dealing with parking, and paying for admission. While it might be worth it to deal with those standalone parks for one or two days on your vacation, wouldn’t it be nice to just walk right out the door to a water park at your hotel? Well, here are five hotels where that’s actually a possibility.

1. Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites Waterpark, Orlando

With 777 suites that feature kitchens or kitchenettes, this resort is prime for families. For entertainment, it offers not one, but two water parks, a massive arcade, and a “4D Experience” theater — there’s plenty to entertain the kids all day long. Should you decide to leave the property and hit up a theme park, the hotel offers shuttles.

2. Reunion Resort, Orlando

Between a water park, 11 pools, a lazy river, and hot tubs galore, what more could you possibly need at your hotel? You can drop the little ones off at the kids’ club after breakfast, spend the morning at one of the three golf courses on property (or six tennis courts), hit the spa in the afternoon, then pick up the kids to have dinner at one of the six on-site restaurants. Or, you could cook a meal with the whole family in one of the one-, two-, or three-bedroom villas, which have full kitchens.

3. Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, Orlando

One of the best things about staying at a Disney property is that you’ll find nearly endless entertainment at your hotel, so you’ll want to budget a day or two in your itinerary just to stay put. At Coronado Springs, the main attraction is the “Dig Site” water park, a Mayan-temple-themed area with waterslides, Jacuzzis, and a pool. And when you’re ready to leave the hotel, shuttles to the Disney theme parks are free, of course.

4. Flamingo Waterpark Resort, Kissimmee

With “waterpark” in its name, is it any surprise that there are water attractions at this Kissimmee hotel? There are several slides, a lazy river, and a tiki bar within the water park. While much more affordable than some of the properties along International Drive, this hotel is about a 30-minute drive away from the Orlando theme parks. Guests of the hotel must pay a fee to use the water park.

5. Hammock Beach Resort, Palm Coast

While the Orlando-area hotels are stuck in the middle of Florida, Hammock Beach Resort offers guests the bonus of the ocean. But if you’re not in the mood to get sandy, there’s a water park with five pools, a water slide, an indoor pool, and a lazy river. There are also five restaurants, three bars, a spa, and a tennis complex.
