- Spacious bathrooms, some with a separate tub and shower
- Modern fitness center with personal TVs on cardio machines
- Huge 12,000-square-foot spa includes a full service salon

- Excellent restaurant, Fearing's, with an outdoor dining pavilion
- Free Bentley house car for drop-off within 3 mile radius
Bottom Line
The Ritz-Carlton Dallas is big on both style and amenities. The 218-room property is surrounded by neatly manicured hedges in a central part of Dallas, and has a sophisticated lobby with plenty of space to lounge. Rooms have traditional decor in warm colors, big, comfy beds, and generous space -- but they lack wow factor. Bathrooms have double sinks and some have a separate tub and walk-in shower. The great on-site restaurant, Fearing's, has an appealing outdoor dining pavilion. A stunning 12,000-square-foot spa and fitness center includes a full service salon, modern cardio equipment, and a relaxing outdoor pool. The fees for parking and Wi-Fi are a nuisance at a hotel of this caliber.

Location
Located in Uptown Dallas
The Ritz-Carlton is located in lively Uptown Dallas, with many area attractions just a short drive away. Though some spots are technically within walking distance of the hotel, the surrounding streets are busy and many lack sidewalks, so driving is recommended (and those who do choose to walk should exercise caution).
Divided into several areas -- Victory Park, McKinney Avenue, Knox-Henderson, and West Village -- Uptown Dallas is a hot spot of shops, restaurants, and nightlife. Creating the border on the south side, Victory Park is home to the American Airlines Center, a huge sports and entertainment complex where the Dallas Mavericks and the Dallas Stars play. Numerous high-end hotels are in the area, which is also a posh residential neighborhood. To the north, McKinney Avenue is lined with art galleries, and Knox-Henderson is packed with upscale restaurants. West Village offers great shopping -- whether you're looking for trendy boutiques or high-end labels -- and has some of the best nightlife in Dallas, and nearby Turtle Creek is known as the artsy, gay-friendly area where the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Kalita Humphreys Theater sits.
