The 311 rooms of the Casa Marina Resort have a light, sophisticated, but still island-y feel, with neutral tones, sheer curtains, and sleek hardwood or tiled floors. The resort also offers great in-room amenities, including free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and espresso machines. Although bathrooms aren't anything grand (just simple walk-in showers or shower/tub combos), they're clean and sleek. The resort's grounds are beautiful, with palm trees and lush foliage, and lead to a rare amenity in Key West -- a swimmable beach. Although it's too rocky to wade into the water, a long dock extends to sandier bottoms.

The hotel is located on the southern side of Key West, a short walk away from multiple restaurant and bars and within a 5-minute drive of most attractions (and the airport!). One of the most important aspects of a Keys vacation -- the beach -- is located right on the hotel's property.
The island is packed with an eclectic mix of nature preserves, party bars, and luxury hotels. Duval Street is the main artery of Old Town Key West, and is lined with restaurants, bars, and tacky souvenir shops boasting bright, ridiculous T-shirts. The town's popularity has Key West fans worried, as it's a hot spot for real estate buyers. Beaches are small, but nice, and the area is rather kitschy, but Key West has a certain lovable funk that keeps the tourists coming.
