Hotel Fasano is located southwest of the city center in the upscale Jardins neighborhood. A couple of sights are within walking distance, as are shops and restaurants.
Though it's the third largest city in the world, sheer size alone is not what defines Sao Paulo. Its cosmopolitan-minded residents relish the kind of things their beach-and-mountain obsessed countrymen care less about, priding themselves on living a stylish, urbane lifestyle. The restaurants here are world class, the art and music scene are top notch, the nightlife unstoppable, and the shopping second to none. The pace here is faster; in many ways, one could say Sao Paulo is the New York of Brazil, while Rio de Janeiro is Los Angeles.
