Pros
- Mod rooms with wood-paneled walls and Charles Eames furniture
- Carrara marble bathrooms with hydro-massage showers
- Japanese toilets with temperature-controlled seats
- Great freebies such as a 15-minute massage and pressing of two items of clothing
- Spa complete with treatment rooms, a sauna, a Jacuzzi, and a 24-hour fitness center
- Upscale restaurant and bar, plus a champagne and caviar bar
- 24-hour room service
- Rooms have flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi
- Staffed business center and several meeting rooms
Bottom Line
The 57-room Hotel Emiliano is a luxurious hotel in the upscale Jardins area. Despite being a boutique, the hotel has numerous features -- a spa, a 24-hour fitness center, a restaurant and two bars, a staffed business center, and even a rooftop helipad for guests arriving in style (though no pool). The mod rooms are sexy and sleek: Picture wood-paneled walls, clean lines, Charles Eames furniture, and high-tech marble bathrooms (the toilet has buttons.) However, some may find the minimalist style in the lobby and restaurant a tad stark. Nonetheless, this is a fabulous hotel with with excellent freebies (including a 15-minute massage), and the location is a short drive from downtown Sao Paulo.

Convenient location in the upscale Jardins neighborhood
The Hotel Emiliano is located southwest of the city center in the upscale Jardins neighborhood. A couple of sights are within walking distance, as are shops and restaurants.
Though it's the third largest city in the world, sheer size alone is not what defines Sao Paulo. Its cosmopolitan-minded residents relish the kind of things their beach-and-mountain obsessed countrymen care less about, priding themselves on living a stylish, urbane lifestyle. The restaurants here are world-class, the art and music scene are top-notch, the nightlife unstoppable, and the shopping second to none. The pace here is faster; in many ways, one could say Sao Paulo is the New York of Brazil, while Rio de Janeiro is Los Angeles.
- 16-minute drive to the Congonhas International Airport
- 38-minute drive to the Guarulhos International Airport
- 20-minute walk to the Sao Paulo Museum of Art
- 8-minute drive to the Museum of Modern Art
- 12-minute drive to Ibirapuera Park
- 13-minute drive to Downtown Sao Paulo
- 15-minute drive to the Pinacoteca do Estado museum
- 16-minute drive to Mercado Municipal
- 23-minute drive to the Sao Paulo Zoo
