Hamilton Parish is a tranquil area surrounding Harrington Sound, on the northern end of Bermuda's Main Island. Few visitors choose to stay here, for hotels are mostly expensive and are quite far from everything if you rely solely on public transportation, but most properties are only a 15-minute drive from the City of Hamilton and historic St. George.
Hamilton Parish, along with Sandys, is possibly the most family-friendly parish, with a couple of calm, shallow beaches, and the fascinating Bermuda Aquarium, home to hundreds of different species and a large living coral reef. The Crystal Caves at Bailey's Beach are one of Bermuda's major natural wonders, with impressive formations and a subterranean lake open to visitors of all ages.
Hamilton Parish could be divided into two sections -- the sparsely populated eastern side of Harrington Sound, great for romantic getaways and golfers; and the family-friendly northwestern side, with calm, shallow beaches and easy access to the Bermuda Aquarium.
