On a gorgeous white-sand beach in the middle of the Hotel Zone
The Paradisus Cancun sits on a stunning white-sand beach with turquoise waters in the heart of the hopping Hotel Zone. The property is close to shops, restaurants, and tourist-oriented nightlife.
Mostly all-inclusive, self-contained resorts make up the Hotel Zone. Visitors don't come to this part of Cancun for the sights -- there are none, other than the popular beaches and the nightlife. The Hotel Zone is one long stretch of white sand lined with hotels and businesses that cater exclusively to tourists. The locals live and play in the more culture-rich downtown area (known as Ciudad Cancun), which is a short drive away.
The Paradisus is an all-inclusive Cancun megaresort with 678 clean and updated rooms. Decor is bright and contemporary, though the gray marble floors can get slippery when wet. Quality of the balconies is inconsistent -- some are spacious with great ocean views, while others have obstructed views or little privacy. The pool area is well-designed and massive enough to handle big crowds. The remarkably clean beach is a big plus, as are the impressive spa and large fitness center. While this resort has great amenities such as a 9-hole golf course and plenty of water sports, there is a fee for Wi-Fi and the sprawling property can get crowded.
