The Panoramic View
Far away from the crowds, The Panoramic View Resort is a place for relaxation that captures the essence of Montauk. The resort appeals to romantics of course, but families as well -- all while managing to stay peaceful. The stunning ocean views aid in that peacefulness -- the view is seemingly accessible at every turn, and there are plenty of lounge areas throughout the property where guests can plant themselves and take in the sounds of the sea. If guests want a more up-close-and-personal experience with the sea, they merely need to meander down to the beach and can stroll across the serene, 1,000-feet of private oceanfront.

The resort is located on a hilly road scattered with attractive beach houses overlooking the ocean. It’s a pleasant five-minute drive to the village of Montauk.

Rooms are bright and airy and contain a kitchenette, dining table, and chairs. The screen doors come with slat vents so you can control your own ocean breeze. TVs are not flat-screen, but they’re tucked away into armoires. The patios contain two lounge chairs overlooking the ocean -- a perfect spot for reading a book. Bathrooms are kept clean, but contain original fixtures and outdated walk-in showers.
