See recent posts by Lara Grant

Travelers wanting a beautiful island setting with a grown-up vibe should book a stay at one of the numerous adults-only resorts in the Caribbean. And while there are many resorts that fit this bill, opting for a luxury property means you'll also likely get a stunning, serene beachfront, chic pool with a swim-up bar, impressive spa with a hydrotherapy circuit, and gourmet dining, to name a few. To help you narrow down your options, here are the 14 best adults-only luxury hotels in the Caribbean.

One of the most impressive and romantic resorts in the world, Jade Mountain is a stunning property overlooking St. Lucia’s famous Pitons. The 29 suites are huge, elegant, and unique, offering open fourth walls with views of the sea from the entire room, plus canopy beds, whirlpool tubs, and (in all but the entry-level rooms) private infinity pools. Lounge areas, 24-hour butler service, and tea- and coffee-making facilities are standard as well. Views are also stellar from the tasty open-air restaurant with an adjacent pool, and meal plans are available. There’s even a spa and gym, and guests get free access to the beach and facilities at sister property Anse Chastanet, which is a hike downhill (o five-minute shuttle ride).

2. Excellence Punta Cana

The Excellence Punta Cana is a luxurious all-inclusive for adults 18 and over. It’s set along a peaceful and beautiful white-sand beach, with tons to keep guests busy. A 45-million dollar renovation, which was completed in 2017, brought a modern and airy look to the property, from the two-story spa with a free-to-use hydrotherapy circuit to the 450 suites with jetted tubs, furnished outdoor spaces, rainfall showers, and minibars with free beer, wine, liquor, and snacks. Two large pools give travelers room to spread out, and the main ocean-view pool runs the length of the property and features a swim-up bar. Ten delicious restaurants and a dozen bars mean guests don’t have to walk far to satisfy their appetite or quench their thirst.
