The Ocean Lodge is a four-pearl hotel that aims to be a home-away-from-home for its guests on the south end of Cannon Beach. The 45 rooms and suites include working fireplaces, kitchenettes, and some ocean views. With cookies and organic coffee in the lobby at all hours, a library full of books for all ages, free DVDs to borrow, and a free continental breakfast, the hotel is a popular choice for families (and their pets) who choose it as their home base on the Oregon Coast again and again. A grand resort with homey touches

With a large wraparound porch and beach views, The Ocean Lodge conjures up a feeling of a beach resort of yesteryear. Yet there’s nothing outdated about this property: the upscale feeling throughout is accented by warm wood finishes, leather furniture, and a large stone fireplace that creates a tasteful lodge setting that would be equally at home in the Adirondacks as it is on a supreme stretch of Oregon beach. A homey, but contemporary, breakfast room is set with wood chairs and plaid tablecloths. Couples and families are among the guests, but there have been complaints about noise from little ones and pets.
Location
Waterfront with easy beach access, but a car is necessary for getting to the center of Cannon Beach.
Located at the south end of Cannon Beach, one of the Oregon Coast’s most popular towns, the waterfront hotel offers great views of the coast and Haystock Rock. There’s easy access to the dramatic stretch of sand the hotel calls home via a set of stairs on the property. The Ocean Lodge is removed from the action of the town with its many shops and restaurants, which is about a mile and a half away. Guests should plan to drive to area sites and attractions as the area immediately surrounding the hotel is beach houses and other hotels. Parking at The Ocean Lodge is free and convenient.
Rooms
Simple and tasteful, all with kitchenettes and fireplaces.

Rooms are simply, though tastefully decorated. White linens fit in seamlessly with the neutral colored walls, beige carpet, and wicker furniture. Balconies are furnished with plastic patio furniture. Some guests complain of noise from other guest rooms.
