This year-round villa is meant for seclusion and relaxation
The Art House is owned by two artists who live on the property. The home itself is kept both spotless and comfortable at the same time, and serves as a functional gallery of their art. The spaciousness of the property allows for relaxation in a number of ways -- a large outdoor lap pool, fragrant lavender garden, Jacuzzi with waterfall feature, tree-covered surroundings, and a beautiful peaceful beach nearby. Because the property only has four rooms, it often feels more like your own private Hamptons home than renting a room for a short getaway.
The property is tucked away in a resident community of East Hampton, an area rarely seen by tourists
The Art House is located in the local neighborhood of Clearwater Beach, an area just north of East Hampton, with private access to the beach preserve and marina on Gardiner’s Bay. It is closest driving distance to East Hampton, where there are restaurants and shops.
Four individually decorated, luxurious rooms
There are only four rooms at the Art House: two guest rooms, the Master Guest Room, or the Master Spa Suite with a spa-like bathroom.
Rooms have individualized decor, though all four contain high-quality linens, bathrobes, furnishings, and rugs. The two master options are upstairs and each has a deep soaking tub and gas fireplace. The Spa Suite has an enormous custom closet and bathroom with separate dry sauna. The two master rooms also have their own balcony where a glass of wine can be enjoyed before heading out to dinner.
High-quality design, and extended amenities for such a small property
Gourmet breakfast prepared and cooked by the owners
Breakfast is included with the cost of the room and prepared by the owners themselves. There is a dining area in the kitchen, or in warm weather, an outdoor table overlooking the pool. Most mornings include waffles, eggs, omelets, cheeses, fruits, espresso, teas, and juices. The refreshment area is always stocked with beverages and snacks, and available to guests around the clock.
This elegant B&B in East Hampton is exactly what its name suggests: a house full of art. It was designed and decorated by the owners, Michael and Rosalind, who combine mutual talents in art and hospitality. There are only four rooms for rent, but there are all the amenities of a larger property, including endless communal spaces, an outdoor pool, and fitness center. Although big in scope, the Art House retains all of the personalized charm of staying with friends, making it a distinctive option in the Hamptons -- though it comes at a high price.
